Inge Dougans

Dougans International (Dougans International Trading; CC No. 1986/006534/23) was established by Inge Dougans in 1986 as a parent company for her subsidiary companies; The International Academy of Reflexology and Meridian Therapy (Pty.) Ltd. (IARAMT), Vacuflex Concepts, Magnetic Healing and Dougans International Publishing and Products.

Inge Dougans qualified as a Reflexologist in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1981. Soon afterwards she immigrated to South Africa and opened a private practice. In 1983 she began teaching Reflexology and established The International Academy of Reflexology and Meridian Therapy (Pty.) Ltd. (IARAMT).

Incorporating the Chinese Meridian Theories and Philosophies and the uniting of Western and Eastern insights into the Meridians and the Five Elements has given the IARAMT a high reputation worldwide for its unique approach. Having now existed for over a quarter of a century, the academy has expanded with satellite campuses around South Africa and internationally.

The IARAMT now offers a Diploma in Therapeutic Reflexology, as well as individual courses, in a modular credit-based system. We also offer our courses via Distance E-Learning using interactive multimedia CD-ROMS and web-board communication.

Through the sophistication of modern technology, but without losing the human touch factor, the Dougans International Vacuflex Concepts combines a vacuum boot therapy together with vacuum cups to give a dynamic treatment with the combined benefit of a full reflexology treatment and stimulation of all the major meridians. Dougans International Magnetic Healing helps to restore depleted magnetic energy levels in the body and maintain good health by stimulating the biochemistry of the body. The magnetic energy is absorbed in the blood due to the iron content contained by the haemoglobin. This causes the blood vessels to expand, enhancing blood circulation and the flow of nutrition (food & oxygen) to all cells in the body.
